DNAD Concept Evolution

We had to design an idea for  internet exporlor aimed at people aged 18 - 35 to use this broswer more then others. I learned that there is a a lot of thought gone into this and that even a big company sruggles with goals such as keep there audience just like we sudents do when doing projects.

I think the point of this task was too help us understand and know what is expected when a design beief is gieven to us, we now know that proper steps to take so our idea is fully though out.

I felt that this was very difficult as i didn't really understand the brief, it was worded in a way that was very open which is ok for it target audience but i would rather it to be a little bit more closed and pacific   so i could get the most out of it. i found presenting to the class hard because when im put under pressure i forgot thing very easily and i'm not a very confident speaker when im not very prepared ( knowing exactly what i have to say)

I think i will have to practice  speaking out load and planning what i have to say before speaking to a large amount of people such as the class, by doing this i will know what to say and not get tongue tied or so nervous when doing so.

The literal meaning of is a an advertiment on the side of a moblie van of a man face looking at the person viewing the advert, some word art acting as the mans speech, the logo of the makers and a picture of the prodct they are selling.

The abstract meaning of the image

I think the absract or hidden meaning is only that brand of conish pastey are seconds away from 'happiness', also that lunch time is happy time becuase he is going to eat this thing in the picture. It has you think that becuase he said that he is hours away from home meaning that he might be at work or on his way from home, his home is a place where he can have happiness by eating the conish pasty at lunch, it gives him the same confort of home that he might not get at work. It eye catching because theres nothing there but the man face satfited, the words art of his speech, the pastey and the logo, which in a way makes you think becuase they used the word happines that only that brand of pastey will bring you happniess from a long day and not any other. also becuase it does not say pastey even though the picture is there this could also work for other produts from this brand. So it infuacnts you to believe so.

I get hunrey when i see this becuase i would like to feel this 'happiness' that the man feels from theses pastys also i feel like i can relat to it because most people have long hours at collage/work and find it stressful which is what he said " I'm hours away from home" as if the day it dragging, which does happen sometimes so this makes me feel like the pasey would make me feel a little happier.

I think that there is realy only a social conext in the image which is taking the thoughts of the noromal work man life which is hours at the office and maybe not enough time for lunch and this is taking thaat and soulving the problem with there product.  The historal context would be that in a few years or so there might be time for lunch and no need for on the go meal.

The literal meaning of this is image is just a picture of a man doing a sassy face, with text art  acting as his speak which is really large and easy to see from afar, with the brand logo and a picture of the product on the other side of the van from the pervouis pic.

This image is eye catching becuase of the black backgrond and the bold contrat beteen the the words color, which makes them stand out to someone, also becuase of the balck back ground the picture stands out alot more becuase there is nothing distracting the eyes from it. The saying for this advert is very clear and slightly funny. By saying that 'Men cannot drive on crisps alone' is realting to men all over and telling us in a hidden way that he needs some more food then just crisps to 'drive' meaning fucntion. So there are trying to tell us that this brand makes food that is more filling then crisps so if thats what you are looking for to go to them.

  I feel like this is very funny to read and it makes it a little more insteresting to say a normal advert, this makes it more appealing to everyone, it gives it a more friendly feel as if it was coming from a work college and not just on a sign.

The social, historical or cultural of this image would be that it relets to men all over becuase it talks about men in partiular this makes men feel colser to it and brakes down the barrier of bisuness, making them not feel like it selling it to that as much as it is. Also by saying men in particlar it does not talk about women which could emplie that women can work on a small lunch or no lunch at all, this could be showing the target market for this brand is more men then women.
